The Ca Go CS Upgrades for 2024

The Ca Go CS, an innovative compact cargo e-bike first unveiled at Eurobike 2023, is entering 2024 with some practical upgrades based on user feedback. The cargo bike’s unique design includes three loading zones – one in the front, one in the center, and one at the rear. This allows for excellent weight distribution when hauling cargo. The updates for 2024 focus on increased load capacity and child seat compatibility.

Increased Load Capacity

One of the most notable upgrades is an increase in the max load capacity for the center rack from 30kg to 35kg. With the front rack still rated for 18kg and the rear for 27kg, this means the total potential cargo capacity increases from 75kg to 80kg on the Ca Go CS. The center rack positioning is optimal for heavier items like crates of drinks.

Having that extra 5kg capacity provides more flexibility in distributing weight between the three loading zones. The bike was designed specifically with robust components like the SR Suntour Cargo suspension fork, 20” wheels, and Schwalbe Pick-Up tires to provide stability and absorb shock when loaded down.

Child Seat Approval

The other big upgrade for 2024 models launching in December is child seat approval for the rear rack. The rack is now MIK HD-certified, meaning it complies with ISO standards for both luggage racks and bicycle child seats. Initially, the Ca Go CS will be approved for use with the Bobike Maxi Go MIK HD and Caress X2 child seats.

This opens up the Ca Go CS to parents needing a practical cargo bike that can also transport kids. The multiple cargo space options give added flexibility in load distribution whether commuting with kids or running errands without.

Unchanged Features

While load capacity and child seat compatibility see improvements, other features that made the Ca Go CS stand out remain unchanged. It retains the Bosch Cargo Line motor system with PowerPack battery, Enviolo automatic shifting, and Gates Carbon Drive belt options across model variants.

Not sure how stable that rear crate is

The cargo bike’s compact size coupled with excellent handling and ride feel also stay the same. It’s maneuverable yet stable thanks to the low center of gravity design. Integrated lighting, mudguards, and kickstand also come standard.

Pricing

The CS100 starts at €5590, CS150 at €5990, and CS200 at €6490.
