Deliveries from the high street by cargobike

Cycling Industry News reports:

In a trial in Stevenage, Central England which has around 45km of segregated cycle paths, local cargo bike delivery firm Bike Box Delivery has partnered with ShopAppy – an app which has been designed to support local shops with a click and collect service, currently operating in a number of UK locations.

Consumers can get items delivered to homes, workplaces or other drop off points for a fee of £4, all of which goes to the cargo bike delivery firm. The local borough council is supporting the initiative and has offered up click and collect points in the town centre.

Bike Box Delivery uses Urban e-assist cargo bikes and other smaller bikes to offer a range of services and delivery types. It recently began last-mile deliveries on behalf of Yodel, using a cargo bike rather than a car or van
