More and more companies are offering in situ bike repairs, with bike mechanics fixing and servicing bikes where customers work, live or are stranded. One example is Live Cycle in Berlin:
Traditional bike shops risk of losing an important regular income if they don’t offer a similar service. Shimano is coming to their rescue by offering a fully equipped cargobike for mobile repairs

“Through our Shimano Service Center concept our goal is to help our retailers to build more professional and flexible workshop solutions.
“The mobile workshop programme is one of the connections between the Shimano brand and customer service, support the retailer to improve their bike service capabilities via the workshop.”
The offer is presently available to Shimano dealers in the Benelux.
