World-wide initiatives that offer free cargobike trial rentals

Sometimes potential cargobike users need a bit of nudging; in the past twelve months we have been seeing a number of initiatives that enable businesses and families to test cargobikes for one-two weeks, for free. Here are some of these programmes:

Denmark

A21 – Miljøpunkt Indre By-Christianshavn -15 Cargobikes available; planning to expand.

Netherlands

Groningen – E-tricycle available for two weeks. “The campaign is supported by the European BEST FACT program. When entrepreneurs decide to buy an e-tricycle, they may participate in a study that they Euro 800, – get back on the purchase price.”

United Kingdom

Several London Boroughs have launched schemes:

• Hackney – Part of their Zero emissions network (ZEN)
